Jacob Perego

Upon meeting Jacob, with his big blue eyes and bright smile, you immediately realize you are the only one – his only focus. He ‘sees’ people, holds space for them and expresses great empathy and kindness for all.
Born in Louisiana, rich in culture and food, it was only ‘natural’ that Jacob began his life of service in the restaurant business. He realized he could connect with people through his love for food and the communal experience of fine dining. Soon after, in 2015, Jacob was named Tastemaker of South Florida, City and Shore Magazine for his innovative approach to the Culinary World. Jacob furthered his impact with a restaurant consulting business where he mentored innovative restaurant concepts from startups to existing establishments. When asked why he left being a Chef and entered mentoring/coaching, his answer was simple; “I am driven to help others succeed in business and life.”
Jacob also is a licensed real estate agent in Florida and it in turn lead him to coaching, as he experienced even more people held back as prisoners of their own minds, unable to obtain their true potential, or not knowing opportunities are limitless for experiencing one’s life purpose. “I had not fully realized, until working in a direct sales position, that often people become paralyzed by their minds – that long-held beliefs are actually holding them back unknowingly. This was the moment that I knew coaching was my calling because I believe we all have the ability to love and be happy and it’s my honor to guide you to realize you deserve so much more. I look forward to serving you.”

Prior to founding Leader Sharpening, Perry was COO/President of The Family Room Innovation Group, COO/President of Insight Strategy Group, and EVP, Chief Strategy Officer/Chief Operating Officer at Doe-Anderson Advertising. He spent the prior twenty years working in both Account Management and Strategic Planning roles in world-class advertising agencies like McCann-Erickson, Lowe & Partners, Foote Cone Belding, and J Walter Thompson. He also co-founded two successful strategic and creative services companies; Branding Iron and Consumer Studio, with JJ Jordan, the former Creative Director of J Walter Thompson, NY.
He is blessed and grateful to have three amazing children and call NYC, Nocatee, FL and the crater of a volcano (El Valle, Panama) "Home."
